Securing Small Concrete Segments on Flatbed Trailers

	Banded pallets of small concrete segments. The thin plastic bands used to secure product to pallet offer little help in securing the load in transit, with so many small segments a few other methods are used.
	The tie down procedure used on this load. 1, Load netted 2, Each row is strapped, all strap anchors hooked on solid infrastructure of trailer NOT rope hooks. Corner protectors were not needed as straps went over net and product had a domed top.
	3, The load is then roped to tension the net between the pallets, this forces the net down in front and behind the pallet preventing movement of the product and pallet.
	The method proved itself on a journey from Telford to Fishguard going over the Welsh hills and arrived exactly how it left the yard.
